Denzel directed the film. In addition to receiving rave reviews, the film received nominations for a Golden Globe for Best Picture and Jurnee won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Leading actress in a Motion Picture. Tyler Perry's Temptation is her other greatest hit film. The actress also appeared in the independent film One Last Thing with Wendell Pierce. Some other credits include Hands Of Stone, opposite Robert DeNiro, Edgar Ramirez and Roll Bounce.
